Apartment!!!

From 6/27/08: "TJ talked to the lady over the apts we've been waiting on on Tuesday to see how things were going. She said there was an orientation scheduled for 9 am the next morning in Twin about them that she recommended we attend. We figured it was time to find some place to live even if we had to find another apt temporarily while we waited on an opening in the govt-subsidized ones. So we packed our stuff to stay for a couple of days to look for another place, while hoping we'd still get into the one we wanted soon. Off we all jetted westward bright and early the Wednesday morning (we left at 5:30! ). While we were at the meeting, the lady over the apts and the orientation informed us that she wasn't positive, but it sounded like the person just ahead of us on the waiting list was probably going to decide to live somewhere else. She said they had until the 30th to decide. That got our hopes up a little, but we didn't plan on anything. Thus we were happily surprised when, within just a couple of hours following the meeting, the apt lady called to tell us the other person had definitely decided to live somewhere else. We get to move in mid-August! Such a blessing!

It sounds like TJ is going to have an easy time finding a decent job, too, judging by his previous experiences with some of the nursing homes he is applying at, and from the warm reception he got at his old workplace, Dell. As far as medical wokplaces, the hospital had a few positions open, and he'd like to get on with them because they will help pay for tuition to get his RN. He says they're harder to get on with, but it sounds like if he doesn't get that job, there will be plenty other good ones available. I am excited for him.

Myself, as much as I am joyous about moving, I still feel a little nervous for the reason of locating a whole new battery of medical personnel for Xavier. I just want it all to go smoothly, and I'm worried that it won't. Logically, I know if I am careful about it, things should work out fine. Sigh. Guess I'll just have to take it one day at a time.

Last of all, I thought I'd send you all some of my favorite older pictures of Xavier that were on this memory card!"
